The Criminal Investigation Division is comprised of a division commander, two lieutenants, three sergeants, and 25 officers. The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for criminal investigations, narcotics investigations, department training, recruiting, and background investigations.

Bohannon F capt minCaptain Forrest Bohannon currently supervises the Criminal Investigations Division for the Sandy Springs Police Department. She was one of the founding officers of the Sandy Springs Police Department, after having previously worked at the Fulton County Police Department. Captain Bohannon has served as Night Commander, Administration/Community Affairs Commander, Uniform Patrol, and is currently the Criminal Investigations Division Commander. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego and a Masters in Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University. Additionally, she is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command (Class #399), Georgia Law Enforcement Command College (Class 56), and the FBI National Academy (Session 281). Captain Bohannon is a graduate of the 2018 Leadership Sandy Springs class.

LevyLieutenant Scott Levy is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division and supervises the Detective Unit and Narcotics and Vice Unit.  Lieutenant Levy, a native New Yorker, began his law enforcement career in 1990 with the Cobb County Police Department and is an original Sandy Springs Police Department member. During his over 30 year career, his assignments have included Uniform Patrol, Training, Criminal Investigations, Traffic Enforcement, Motorcycle Operations, and S.W.A.T.

Lockridge minSergeant Lockridge is currently assigned to the Detective Unit. Sergeant Lockridge started his career in 2013 with the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office and became a criminal investigator for the Office. He transferred to the Sandy Springs Police Department in 2016. While at the Sandy Springs Police Department, he has worked as a Field Training Officer, a member of the North Metro SWAT Crisis Negotiation Team, and Honor Guard units before being promoted to Sergeant. Sergeant Lockridge has a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida State University and a Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice: Counter-Terrorism and Homeland Security from Southern New Hampshire University.

Gladkowski minSergeant Gladkowski is currently assigned to the Detective Unit. Sergeant Gladkowski started his career with the Fulton County Police Department in 2003. He was then hired by the Sandy Springs Police Department in 2006 as one of its original officers. During his time with the department, Sergeant Gladkowski has been assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division, Traffic Unit, and Criminal Investigation Division and has served on the Quick Response Force (QRF). He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2019.

The Narcotics and Vice Unit is part of the Criminal Investigation Division. The Narcotics and Vice Unit is responsible for investigating narcotics and vice-related complaints. The Unit has investigators assigned to federal task forces, in addition to working local area narcotics and vice crimes.
