SANDY SPRINGS, GA (May 10, 2020) – At 12:41 AM, Sandy Springs Police was dispatched to State Route 400-North near the MARTA entrance ramp regarding a vehicular accident with injuries to include a deceased victim. The investigation is being handled by the Sandy Springs Police Department’s Traffic Unit, Investigator N. Trujillo.

Incident: While on SR-400-North, an unknown black vehicle caused a collision with two other vehicles. One of those vehicles, a 2017 Hyundai Elantra sustained disabling damage and came to an uncontrolled rest in the number one and two lanes of SR-400. Two Good Samaritan motorists stopped to assist the driver of the 2017 Hyundai Elantra and his two passengers. One of the Good Samaritans asked all three individuals to get into her vehicle so that they could move away from the dangers of being in the middle of the roadway.

The two passengers of the Elantra were able to enter the vehicle of one of the Good Samaritans. A 2006 Toyota Sienna minivan, also travelling on SR-400 North lost control, its driver attempted to overcorrect the vehicle, however lost control and struck the driver of the Elantra as he was trying to enter the vehicle of one of the Good Samaritans. The Toyota Sienna then struck the vehicle of the Good Samaritan, causing the passenger (of the Sienna) to receive serious injuries. The driver of the Elantra suffered fatal injuries as a result of the impact. After the crash, the driver of the Toyota Sienna fled the scene, leaving behind a deceased victim in the roadway and his passenger with serious injuries.

The driver of the Toyota Sienna has been identified as 31 year old Kiara Stinner of Brunswick, GA. As a result of this deadly incident, Stinner is now wanted by the Sandy Springs Police Department for the following:

Mr. Stinner’s whereabouts are unknown and remains at large. Anyone with information on this incident, to include the dark vehicle that caused the initial collision or the whereabouts of the offender is urged to contact SSPD Traffic Unit Investigator N. Trujillo at 770-551-2563
