Major John Mullin currently supervises administrative and support services for the Sandy Springs Police Department. Major Mullin began his law enforcement career in 1997 with the Fulton County Police Department. He is a graduate from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He joined the Sandy Springs Police Department in 2006 as one of the original 86 officers. His assignments have included District Commander, the Criminal Investigation Division, Internal Affairs, and Special Operations. Major Mullin obtained his Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University and is a graduate of Leadership Sandy Springs - Class of 2014. He also is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He was a member of the 25th GILEE delegation (Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange) to Israel and is a graduate of the Senior Management Institute for Police.
